Battle Mix | Transformers: Dark of the Moon (Original Soundtrack) by Steve Jablonsky

Dark of the Moon is by far the most action heavy film out of the series, known for it's last hour or so being nonstop, chaotic action. I decided to make a mix of the action themes used throughout the film, which is the battle theme associated with the freeway chase and beyond, and the iconic It's Our Fight theme used throughout the film's final battle. Battle has your usual Jablonsky action fare, with electric sound design propelling the action and thumping percussion accompanied by urgent strings. The motif is a three note motif that blares on high strings and choir during the film's most urgent moments, giving the scenes it's epic feel. It's Our Fight utilizes very similar instrumentation, but it's definitely a much less octane piece of music and more focused on the dramatic weight of the finale. It's main motif is a sweeping, grand nine note motif played on strings and choir that not only sounds morose and dramatic, but also conveys the feeling that this is our heroes' last stand against tyranny. The latter half of the suite also includes excerpts of Prime and Sentinel's themes, showing their intense battle against each other as the world rages on. It's a very thrilling and epic battle theme and the two themes are so entertwined thematically and musically that it was only fitting to include them in one mix.
